ESG

As a company, Ambassador Services are continually searching for initiatives to help improve our own carbon footprint and closely monitor our impact on the environment.

Cleaning materials and equipment

At Ambassador Services, we acknowledge the significant impact our operations have on the environment, the communities we serve, and our responsibilities to our employees, suppliers, and stakeholders. To address these responsibilities, we have developed a robust Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. This strategy is designed to:

Minimize our environmental footprint through sustainable practices.
Enhance our social contributions by supporting the communities we work in.
Demonstrate ESG leadership across the sectors we operate in, setting an example for others to follow.

By prioritising these principles, we strive to create a positive and lasting impact while maintaining the highest standards of corporate responsibility.

As a company, maintaining and exceeding our sustainability goals is a core priority. We achieve this by implementing and adhering to eco-friendly strategies throughout our operations. These practices not only reduce our environmental impact but also position us to extend the same sustainable solutions to our clients. By doing so, we contribute to the well-being of the wider community and actively promote sustainable development within our clients’ offices and operations.

Environmental Management Accreditation

We are independently assessed and have maintained our ISO 14001 – ‘Operates an Environmental Management System’ ISO 14001:2015 is the internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems. It provides a framework for Ambassador to design and implement an environmental management system, and continually improve our environmental performance. By adhering to this standard, Ambassador can ensure we are taking proactive measures to minimise our environmental footprint, comply with relevant legal requirements, and achieve our objectives.

Fleet Management: Live Tracking, Journey Planning, and Emissions Reduction

Pollution caused by traffic is a significant issue, and we are committed to reducing our fleet’s environmental impact:

  • Live Tracking and Route Optimisation: Using advanced technology, we plan the most efficient routes for our vehicles and monitor their locations in real time.
  • Emission Reduction: Our fleet is entirely ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) compliant, and we no longer use diesel vehicles.

These measures allow us to reduce mileage, lower emissions, and contribute to cleaner air in the communities we serve.

Energy Efficiency in Properties and Energy Suppliers

  • Properties: Our facilities operate with energy-saving measures such as LED lighting and active lighting systems.
  • Energy Suppliers: We partner with suppliers committed to reducing their carbon impact and improving clean energy sources.

Sustainable Supply Chain

We hold our suppliers to the same high environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards that we adhere to. Examples include:
Washroom Service Providers: Zero-to-landfill policies ensure all waste is recycled or responsibly managed.

Selden Cleaning Materials:

  • Products are 100% biodegradable, meeting EU Detergents Regulation standards.
  • Effluent waste is disposed of through on-site biological treatment, achieving 90% biodegradation within 24 hours.

Numatic Cleaning Equipment:

  • Incorporates a 30% reduction in energy consumption while maintaining high performance.
  • Made from high-quality recycled plastics using sustainable manufacturing practices.
  • Partnership with charity: water, donating 5,000 liters of clean water for every purchase of a 244NX unit.

Staff Training and Waste Management

Training: All staff are extensively trained in effective cleaning methods, waste management practices, and sustainability principles, including:

  • Waste segregation and recycling.
  • Safe handling and usage of materials to minimise waste.

Plastic Waste Reduction:

  • Cleaning sprays and liquid products are refilled from larger containers, reducing single-use plastic.
  • Proper labelling ensures safety and avoids cross-contamination.
  • Spray bottles and cleaning cloths are recycled at the end of their lifecycles.

Energy and Water Conservation

Our cleaning teams follow best practices to minimize energy and water consumption while maintaining exceptional standards:

Energy Efficiency

  • Using advanced, energy-saving cleaning equipment.
  • Optimising processes to reduce power usage.

Water Conservation:

  • Employing water-saving techniques for tasks such as window cleaning and pressure washing.

By adopting these practices, we not only ensure compliance with environmental responsibilities but also help preserve natural resources for our clients and future generations.
